Why Ayurvedic Massage?
Ayurvedic Medicine is based on the individual and so Ayurvedic massage is administered on the same principle. The type of massage and the oil used is based on the individual to be treated and the imbalance they are exhibiting. The oils used are all medicinally prepared, they work beyond the skin and into the deeper layers of the body.

According to Vagbhata of Ashtanga Hrdaya fame, these are the following benefits of massage:
  • It removes old age by providing nourishment to the seven constituents of the body.
  • It removes fatigue caused by either emotional or physical strain.
  • It removes excess wind from the body – and eases muscular and joint pain, fear, nervousness and digestive discomfort.
  • It improves eyesight.
  • It strengthens the body by increasing circulation, encouraging toxins to leave the body, and allowing nutrients to enter the body.
  • It increases longevity by creating an electrochemical balance in the body.
  • Induces sleep by creating a calming effect on both mind and body.
  • Strengthens the skin by nourishing the largest organ of the body with therapeutic and herbal oils – helping to give the skin a natural and healthy glow.
  • Aids the body resistant to disease by stimulating the production of antibodies and strengthening the seven vital components of the body.
